Welcome back to Friday Night's Absurd News! As we often do in this column we start with TNA Impact's rating this week - yet another 1.1 according to Dave Meltzer and Wrestling Observer. Thanks Dave! Once again TNA is going nowhere fast.

That bit of TNA news may come as a surprise to no one, but this one undoubtedly will - CHRIS HARRIS IS LEAVING THE COMPANY. The Observer reported it and TNA themselves confirmed it this evening. Considering how many times they've tried to push Harris as a solo star since breaking up America's Most Wanted, and how many promos he has cut about TNA's "glass ceiling" it appears he finally got tired of bonking his head ON said ceiling and called it quits.

Yet more news absurd news from Wrestling Observer - former TNA wrestler Ron 'The Truth' Killings told people at an indie show last week that he's going to sign a WWE offered contract that includes an $80,000 per year downside guarantee plus the ability to bypass developmental and head straight for the main roster. I'd like to believe that's true but we heard the same thing before about everyone from Colt Cabana to Harry Smith and none of them showed up on TV on day one.

Now to take a cheap shot at our own absurdity - even though we reported that WWE had a UFC promo video pulled from YouTube due to a copyright claim on images of Brock Lesnar, it appears the commercial is legit and that WWE DID authorize UFC to use the footage - so says The Observer. In fact you can watch the commercial right here on the website via the embedded video below. Thanks for reading another edition of Friday Night's Absurd News!
