XPW Cold Day In Hell May 24, 2008 -- Sean Waltman, New Jack retirement, Sabu injured
Before I start, I would like to say that this was the best show I have ever been to. I haven't seen so much emotion and heart since the "Retirement" show for Roddy Piper at L.A. Sports Arena weeks before Wrestlemania 3.
Show kicked off with Guido introducing the Fallen Heroes / Dynamite D Memorial Battle Royal after he berated the Lakers by saying how great the Celtics are. He had great heat. People were pissed.
FALLEN HEROES / DYNAMITE D BATTLE ROYALBefore the participants entered, footage was shown of Kronus, Dynamite D, Big Dick Dudley, Chris Candido, and Pitbull 2. Many chants for these guys.
They didn't even announce these guys names so I don't know who won. He looked like Uncle Fester and everyone thought he sucked until he lit his arm on fire and clotheslined the final opponent out of the ring. He even got a bigger pop when he gave the "D Cup" to Dynamite D's mother who was sitting ringside.
MISS EXTREME CONTESTThis was the worst part of the show. Joey Ryan introduced the judges which included Angel and a couple of So-Cal indie guys. The finalists were to come out and show their "extreme" talent. There were lapdances, partial nudity, and then it took a dark turn and got ugly. Some girls "talent" was that she liked to get spanked. Her escort put on a work glove wrapped in barbed wire and proceeded to beat the crap out of her. He had some ugly heat on him as some fans were kinda pissed off. She was obviously hurt and trying not to cry. The last finalist called them all prostitutes and Michunoku-Drivered barbed wire butt. Joey Ryan and Vinnie Massaro started to fight because Monica Massaro didn't win. Joey Ryan then added himself to the Revolution Pro vs. XPW 6-man tag match so he could face Vinnie Massaro later in the evening.
Guido introduces the "Triple Threat Superstar" Kaos. Kaos was great. He shot on Shane Douglas and got a mixed reaction from the crowd.
KAOS vs. VAMPIROAwesome match, it could've been the main event. Kaos took a huge light tube bump from Vampiro which caused heavy bleeding from his back. Vampiro hit Kaos across the back with a steel chair which caused blood to splatter on my mom. I told her that she got "hardcore" points.
Winner: KAOS
ANGEL THE HARDCORE HOMO vs. G.Q. MONEYIt was Angel's "19th" birthday and he got a cake and we sang Happy Birthday. G.Q. Money said he couldn't wrestle and left Angel presents. Angel opened the last present and G.Q. Money popped out and lit a fire ball in Angel's face. G.Q. Money had some huge "Clockwork Orange" looking guy with him. Some silly spots which questioned each others sexuality made for a great match. The big "Droog" got a dildo to the bum. Steve Rizzono made an appearance. He didn't look so hot as he was accompanied with a wheelchair. He did stand up and give a "Boo-yah!!" though!! Kraq came through the crowd and assisted with the win.

J-LOVE entered the ring and was pissed about how there was still glass in the ring from the Kaos/Vampiro match. After the ring was cleaned, she proceeded to berate Pogo the Clown and tell him that he's fat and disqusting. Pogo enters the ring and she tells him that she's not scared of him and that she has backup. Pogo grabs her by the hair and chokes her in the corner as Sandman makes his way through the crowd.
POGO THE CLOWN vs. THE SANDMANSandman looked tired. Not a bad match, though. Some great cane and chair shots.
Winner: THE SANDMAN
Terry Funk hits the ring and announces that SABU cannot wrestle because of his neck. Terry tells Atlas Security to keep Sabu from the ring, Sabu makes an attempt to get to the ring but to me, Sabu looked terrible. Sabu was replaced by a "walmart" type Sabu.
RAVEN AND "WHITE TRASH" JOHNNY WEBB vs. HOMELESS JIMMY AND some guy... TERRY FUNK guest refereeRaven is great. He got on the mic and asked why we would cheer for Jimmy when he is the bigger star. He said he would prove he was the bigger star by doing commentary during the match. Very funny stuff, the crowd was cracking up. The "Sabu-wannabe' kinda kicked ass as he did some great spots. Terry showed some color and got into a slugfest with Raven. Great Stuff.
TEAM REVOLUTION PRO vs. TEAM XPW(DISCO MACHINE, JOEY RYAN, and some guy i don't remember vs. Some guy, VINNIE MASSARO, and SEAN F'N WALTMAN)
Biggest pop of the night came when X-Pac was announced as the 3rd member of Team XPW. CW ANDERSON made an appearance on behalf of Team Rev Pro.
Winner: TEAM XPW
LUKE HAWX vs. JACK EVANS vs. SCORPIO SKYThese three guys were fantastic. Hawx and Evans work great together. Putting Scorpio in as a variable makes this three way remarkable. These guys could be the future of pro wrestling.
Winner: LUKE HAWX
THE GANGSTAS vs. WESTSIDE NGZ----Goodbye NEW JACK!!WESTSIDE came out and got heat from the crowd until the music hit and two mexican gangster guys came out. These four guys fight each other until NEW JACK and MUSTAFA hit the ring and it turns four on two against the WESTSIDE NGZ until a victory is determined. After the WESTSIDE is defeated, the four gangstas celebrate in the ring until NEW JACK stabs one in the head with a fork. It was bloody chaos until NEW JACK and MUSTAFA were victorious.
NEW JACK then proceeded to give one of the best retirement speeches ever...i can't do it justice. He shot on Paul Heyman real hard. During the fan fest, i think he was my favorite.
DREAM DEATH MATCH
SUPREME vs. NECRO BUTCHEROh my god...this was exhausting to watch. Necro headbutted Supreme and you could hear it. It was gross. Necro ate glass. Necro is barefoot. He is crazy. Supreme fell in a bed of rat-traps. Supreme threw thumbtacks on the ground while Necro charged him, causing thumbtacks to stick in his feet. This was very violent. Great standing ovation. I could hear Supreme thanking Necro after it was over.
Winner: SUPREME
