New Japan Pro Wrestling announced this morning that Brock Lesnar was being stripped of the IWGP World Heavyweight Title. The company cited a "visa issue", although PWI reports that more than likely Lesnar was looking towards his future participation in MMA events and decided losing the title to Hiroshi Tanahashi in Japan wouldn't help him. Wrestling Observer further noted that this is a major falling out and Lesnar is most likely done. New Japan is offering refunds to fans since the planned main event will no longer happen.
(PWI) - Report from SNME, Mark Henry may have fractured his kneecap and torn a tendon in his knee during the opening match. Henry went to splash Rey Mysterio in the corner and Mysterio moved, Henry landed on his leg wrong. Henry was able to crawl to the corner and make the tag, then rolled out on the floor until after the match. Surgery is already scheduled for later this week.
Ashley Massaro announced on her MySpace blog that she was medically cleared to wrestle again yesterday. Yippie-kai-yah I guess. Didn't realize you needed to be medically cleared to host a Diva Search, but maybe after The Miz majorly screwed up his lines on live TV this past week, Ash needs to get physical. ;-)
