TNA WRESTLING'S "COWBOY" JAMES STORM AND "BEER MONEY" INVADE CMT TOP 20 COUNTDOWN

CMT "Top 20 Countdown" host Lance Smith has encountered some of the biggest names in entertainment, but none quite as dangerous as "Cowboy" James Storm. CMT will reveal the clash during a special two-and-a-half hour TNA-themed episode of the countdown which premieres Friday, Sept. 5 at 2:00-4:30 p.m., ET/PT, on CMT (encores Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and Sunday at 11:30 a.m., ET/PT).

Smith and the "Top 20" paid a visit to Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling's "iMPACT Zone!' at Universal Studios in Orlando, Fla., home to "TNA iMPACT" (Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Spike TV) to celebrate the launch of Midway's "TNA iMPACT!" video game, available on all next-generation consoles Tuesday, September 9.

Hanging out backstage, in the ring and with TNA Superstars in the locker room, Smith and "Top 20" got full access to ‘TNA iMPACT." But what Smith didn't expect was a confrontation with one of the most dangerous tag teams in professional wrestling today – TNA World Tag Team Champions Beer Money, Inc., the team of Robert Roode and "Cowboy" James Storm.

After discovering Smith onsite in the "iMPACT Zone" to interview TNA Superstars about the debut of the "TNA iMPACT!" game, Beer Money took objection. Smith's encounter with Beer Money, Inc., turned out to be a reunion of sorts, as both Smith and Storm were members of the same graduating class at Franklin High School, outside of Nashville, Tenn.

According to Storm, there was no love lost between the old classmates.

"I don't care about any TV show host. I didn't even remember that little punk in high school. All I know is that he had the audacity to step into my world – the six-sided ring of TNA – for his music TV show. He showed up on my turf, so I could do whatever the hell I wanted to him," Storm said.

"It was great to see James again! Unlike a lot of class reunions, where people tend to put up a façade, we picked up right where we left off," says Smith. "I was just as intimidated as I was twelve years ago. Good ol' James."

Storm, a native of Leiper's Fork, Tenn. and former basketball player at Austin Peay University, is an eight-time co-holder of the TNA World Tag Team Championship and no stranger to causing trouble with Nashville celebrities. In 2007, Storm publicly challenged legendary Tennessee Titans Pro Bowl tight end Frank Wycheck to a wrestling match at "Slammiversary 2007" that Storm would end up losing.

Also joining Beer Money and Lance Smith on "CMT Top 20 Countdown" will be Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle, Booker T, TNA World Heavyweight Champion "The Samoan Submission Machine" Samoa Joe, "The Phenomenal" A.J. Styles, "Showtime" Eric Young, and many more TNA Superstars.
