10/16/08 TNA Impact Recap

This week on Impact - Mick Foley will address the TNA fans. We will here from New TNA Champion Sting, Roxxi takes on Raisha Saeed, The Motor City Machine Guns face TNA X Division Champion Sheik Abdul Bashir and The Guru Sonjay Dutt, and Booker T faces Hernandez. Wow it's going to be a long fucking two hours!

Match 1
Motor City Machine Guns vs. Sonjay Dutt and Sheik Abdul Bashir

Dutt and Val make out in the middle of the ring wow that was totally necessary.. I love Bashir's Music is awesome I love it. Sabin and Dutt start off. Dutt lands a sweet spinning head scissors on Sabin but is quickly sent from the ring and Sabin nails both Dutt and Bashir with a double dive. Sabin lands a series of punches but gets tripped up by Bashir, Dutt gets a little bit of offensive but gets taken out by Sabin who tags to Shelley. Shelley goes for a tombstone but instead faceplants Sonjay. Shelley takes out Bashir with a dive but Val jerks him off the apron. Sabin lands a big flying clothesline on Dutt and Shelley quickly comes back in and lands the frog splash for the fall. Winners: The Motor City Machine Guns.

After the match Kurt Angle comes out and lays waist to both The Guns as well as Sonjay Dutt and says he's going to keep beating up the young guys until he gets a rematch with Jeff Jarrett. Oh boy. We go backstage to Jeremy Borash who is with Kevin Nash. Nash says something about keeping his friends close and his enemies closer and says the reason he cost Joe the title at Bound For Glory was to get back at Joe for running down Scott Hall last year. Wow I'm surprised TNA remembers that far back and that I actually forgot about that.

New TNA Champion Sting comes to the ring and cuts a promo. Sting says that Joe is a better man because of his disrespect and now Sting's the world champion Um What how the fuck does that make any sense. Sting also says that after the match some of the wrestlers shook his hand but others like AJ Styles did not. Styles then comes out and says that Sting should listen to the young guys more and this turns in to a brawl that has to be broken up. If this is the way their going to start a Sting-Styles feud then hey I'm all for it.

Match 2
Booker T vs. Hernandez

Nothing special between these two as Booker dominated much of the match but it took Booker having to use the Briefcase and the Axe Kick to score the win. Winner: Booker T.

We go backstage to Lauren who is with Roxxi. Roxxi says she doesn't give a fuck about Kong but then Lauren tells her that she can't say that on Spike and she says that she doesn't give a fuck about Spike TV. Roxxi says she's had her head shaved and been busted open but she's still standing and tells Kong to bring it.

We go backstage to find the Beautiful People and Cute Kip randomly beating up Christy Hemme for no apparent reason. Kurt Angle comes to the ring and attacks Dave Penzer as well as many security guards and calls out Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett comes out and says that Angle got him at Bound For Glory and needs to let it go. Angle makes some comments about Jarrett's family and leaves while Jarrett stays in the ring.

Mick Foley comes out to address the fans and talks about being a junkie a roller coaster junkie hmmm. Foley says the past few weeks in TNA have been the greatest weeks of his life and he wishes he could've lasted longer, He walks up the ramp and AJ Styles Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed shake Mick's hand and Jeff Jarrett comes out and hugs Mick and they leave together.

Match 3
Roxxi vs. Raisha Saeed

Roxxi goes right after Saeed with a series of clotheslines but gets dropped by Saeed. Saeed lands a pair of curve stomps but misses a missile dropkick. Roxxi lands a big fall away slam and then thwarts the attack of Kong. Roxxi locks the arm of Saeed behind her and lands the Cajun Drop for the win. Winner: Roxxi. After the match Kong lays out Roxxi with the Implant DDT.

We go backstage to Lauren who is with Matt Morgan. Morgan says that he blames himself for what happened to Abyss and Kurt Angle is in the wrong place at the wrong time. We go backstage AGAIN to Lauren who is with Christy Hemme who says that if she didn't have to go to the hospital to be with her boys she would be beating the Beautiful People. Christy also says that next week if the Beautiful People think she's mad now she's gonna be PMS'ING next week.

Next Week's Live Impact Rundown
Christy Hemme vs. One of the Beautiful People
Jay Lethal vs. Sheik Abdul Bashir for the X Division Title
Awesome Kong vs. Taylor Wilde for the Knockouts Title
LAX vs. Beer Money vs. Team 3D vs. Abyss and Morgan Tag Titles Hardcore Gauntlet match where the fans decide the order of the Gauntlet.
Samoa Joe and AJ Styles vs. Kevin Nash and Sting

This show actually sounds really good.

Match 4
Kevin Nash pretty much squashed Consequences Creed with the Jackknife

Kevin Nash gets the microphone and calls the New Generation either the most arrogant or the stupidest bunch of sons of bitches he's ever met. Nash also says that he is the smartest wrestler in the business and says that weather the fans like it or they don't he's the best thing going today. Way to rip off Flair's saying.

We go to Jeff Jarrett's office and apparently it appears that Mick Foley has been signed to a new deal.

Main Event
Kurt Angle vs. Matt Morgan

This was a good little main event as Morgan dominated early in the match with several power moves including a leg drop from the apron to the floor on Angle who was on the apron. Angle comes back after commercial and works over the leg of Morgan. Morgan comes back but goes for the Hellevator and his leg gives way and Angle lands the Angle Slam for the win. Winner: Kurt Angle.

After the match Angle continues to beat down Morgan and Abyss comes out and also gets beaten down and gets the Ankle Lock on Abyss. We go outside of the building and Jarrett and Foley get in to a car and Foley promises a huge announcement next week. Not an all bad show this week and I'm excited about the live Impact next week.
