The Figure Four Weekly just posted this statement from the California State Athletic Commission moments ago.

Ken Shamrock, who last competed for WarGods on February 13 in Fresno, has been suspended for testing positive for the following anabolic agents:

1) 19-Norandrosterone
2) 19-Noretiocholanolone
3) Stanozolol

He has been fined $2,500.

Mr. Shamrock has a right to appeal.

There will be no further comment in any fashion from CSAC on this matter pending Mr. Shamrock's right to appeal.

Obviously this puts his fight with Bobby Lashley on the upcoming mixed MMA and boxing PPV in jeopardy. We'll keep you updated with any further details.

Also UFC confirmed today that Rashad Evans vs. Lyoto Machida will be the main event of UFC 98 on May 23rd in Las Vegas due to Quinton Jackson needing surgery from a jaw injury suffered in December. Jackson went through a medical exam in Las Vegas yesterday and it was discovered he had both torn ligaments in his jaw as well as a hyperextended left elbow. Surgery on his jaw is scheduled for next week, and  Jackson will get the first shot at the Evans vs. Machida winner later in the year.
