The WWE Raw Recap - Hit F5 for the Latest Updates

WWE Raw is live tonight from Birmingham, Alabama tonight and we've got WWE Champion Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase, Jr. inside the ring, inside a steel cage. Orton picks up the mic to speak.

"This Sunday at Extreme Rules I'm going to be defending my WWE Championship in a steel cage against Batista. I want you all to tell me, do you think I should be worried?" The crowd cheers loudly. "Well, as usual, you people have no idea what you are talking about! Batista should be the one who is worried, worried about me, because I'm the one who kicked Batista in the skull. I'm the one who made sure that he couldn't make it to WrestleMania, and I'm going to be the one who gives Batista the biggest beating of his miserable life this Sunday. In a steel cage, there are no rules, which means I can do whatever I want to do. I can grind his flesh against the metal. I can slam the steel door in his face. And I can run his head head-first into each side of this cage over and over and over again.

"Now I'm sure Batista disagrees, I'm sure that he would love to prove me wrong. Well, Dave, in a few minutes you're going to get your chance. I talked to Vickie Guerrero earlier, and Batista, you have a steel cage match TONIGHT!" Orton shows off a coin to the fans. "It is as simple as this - heads, and you will be facing Cody Rhodes. Tails, you'll be facing Ted DiBiase." The coin is flipped. "Congratulations, Cody... you know what to do!"

Cody Rhodes says, "Randy, I know EXACTLY what to do! My father, he was in some of the greatest cage matches of all-time. Cage matches... they're in my blood! I have no problem giving Batista a preview of what you will do to him this Sunday!"

Orton continues, "Good... good... now speaking of this Sunday, I'm going to give you all an image that you need to be accustomed to." Orton opens the door and steps outside of the cage, down the steps, his title belt in-hand. The fans start to boo wildly. "And of course, that image is me walking out of that cage door STILL WWE Champion!"

Orton is cut of by Ric Flair's music, and "the Nature Boy" struts out with a mic again, ready to call out Orton once more. Orton cuts off Flair in mid-"WHOOO!". "Let me guess, Flair, let me guess, you're out here to tell me what Batista is going to do to me this Sunday?" "No!" shouts Flair, "I'm out here to tell you what I'm going to do to you tonight!" Orton replies, "You can't touch me, you can't complete, Flair, you're RETIRED!" Flair says, "I know I can't compete, but I can come out here every week and tell you that you're a punk!"

Orton: "Why can't you understand that you're retired?"

Flair: "Why can't you understand that you're not a man! I'm calling you out, I'm calling you out in the parking lot... LOOK AT ME WHEN I'M TALKING TO YOU! A fight to the finish! One man can stand, one man can walk, you and me, until there is a winner. You and me, PUNK PUNK PUNK! Am I going to stand here all night and call you out, or are you going to grow a set and face me PUNK PUNK PUNK!?"

Orton: "I ACCEPT!"

Flair: "LET'S DO IT!"

Orton: "But Ric, this isn't going to be a night to remember, because this is going to be one you won't be ABLE to remember!"

So the fight is set to allow Flair to wrestle without actually coming out of retirement. Not a bad set-up, and maybe I won't be opposed to this! We'll take a commercial break. Later tonight we'll also see Big Show and the Miz taking on John Cena and a mystery partner! Was that supposed to be Mr. Kennedy? The shadow sure looked like it, but who knows what crazy mess they have tonight!

Steel Cage Match: "the Animal" Dave Batista vs. Cody Rhodes

Rhodes is introduced inside the ring as we come back from break, Batista is introduced next.  Batista steps in, the cage door is locked, and we have a referee inside for some reason! Why?? This can't be good, there's going to be a ref bump. Rhodes is backed into a corner, then tries to kick Batista in the midsection, Batista shoves him down. Rhodes tries to scramble up the turnbuckles to escape the cage, Batista grabs him by the tights and throws him down. Rhodes tries for a DDT but Batista holds the ropes to block it. Rhodes tries to scramble up the cage again, Batista pulls him down between the cage and the ropes. Rhodes tries to grab Batista's head and slam it into the cage, Batista reverses it and then shoulderblocks Rhodes into the cage, and then kicks him in the face.

Batista pulls Rhodes out and puts him in the corner, delivers several shoulders, pulls him out to whip him off the ropes, ducks down, Rhodes kicks him in the face, Rhodes backs up and bounces off the ropes for another attack, Batista side-steps him and throws him face-first into the cage, followed by a big spear. Randy Orton comes down to ringside to try to intimidate Batista, Batista ignores him and delivers an Atomic Drop to Rhodes. Batista and Orton then have a stare-down, Orton grins as he sees Cody Rhodes trying to scramble out of the corner again. Batista calmly walks over, yanks Rhodes down, puts him on his shoulders and delivers a cool but powerful Batista Bomb, then takes his time staring at Orton as he goes for a non-chalant pin.

WINNER: Dave Batista. Batista looks over at Orton again with a cold look, then raises his arms and shouts in victory. Batista climbs to the top of the cage to celebrate with the fans, then comes back over and stares down Orton more.

Backstage in WWE Raw General Manager Vickie Guerrero's office, where Big Show apparently has a problem being partnered with Mike "the Miz" Mizanin tonight. Chavo Guerrero says that he understands Big Show and the Miz don't get along, but there's a good chance Cena and his mystery partner won't get along either. Big Show wants to know who that partner is, Chavo says that he's set it up -- Cena's partner will be picked out of a mystery grab bag of names, and Big Show gets to select it! He's not keen on the idea, but pulls out a slip of paper anyhow... Vickie sees it and busts up laughing... it's Chavo! Chavo laughs as well, realizing how screwed Cena is now! Big Show isn't laughing, though. He tells Chavo to stay out of his way tonight or he'll also get hurt.

WWE Divas Champion Maryse Oulet & "the Glamazon" Beth Phoenix (w/ Rosa Mendez) vs. Kelly Kelly & Mickie James

Mmm, this should be a tasty match-up! All the divas get their own individual introductions. James tries to go after Oulet right at the bell, Oulet rolls out of the ring, and Phoenix steps up to James telling her she wants first crack. James with a reverse waistlock into a side headlock, Phoenix flips her off, tries a clothesline, James ducks it, low dropkick to the knee, then one to the face, cover and a two count on Phoenix. James with an armbar, drags her over to the corner and tags in Kelly, but Phoenix breaks free before Kelly gets a shot. Phoenix with a kick to the midsection, picks up Kelly for a huge Gorilla Press Slam, but Kelly wiggles out, ducks a clothesline, hurracanrana into a pin, cover and a one count. James bounces off the ropes, but Phoenix snatches her up for a backbreaker over the knee, cover and a two count.

Phoenix slams Kelly's head into the turnbuckle, tags in the Divas Champion. Oulet with a forearm smash into Kelly's face, then slams her face-first into the mat before going for the Camel Clutch submission. Kelly throws her off, but Oulet grabs a leg, Kelly turns around and hits an Enziguri, cover, hooks the leg, two count as Beth Phoenix runs in to break it up with a kick to Kelly's back. James with a Thesz Press off the top rope plants Phoenix, she rolls out of the ring, but then grabs James and pulls her off the apron, Kelly comes over and uses the ropes to swing into Phoenix with a dropkick. Kelly turns around and Oulet is right there with a NASTY and HOT DDT to plant Kelly into the mat, 1-2-3.

WINNERS: Maryse Oulet & Beth Phoenix.  James rolls in to check on Kelly as Oulet, Phoenix and Mendez celebrate in the ring. We take a commercial.

The WWE Rewind, sponsored by "The Hangover" is WWE Unified Tag Team Champions Carlito & Primo Colon defeating The World's Greatest Tag Team ("the Gold Standard" Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas) on this past Thursday's WWE Superstars on WGN after Cryme Tyme (Shad Gaspard & JTG) came out to support the champs.

WWE Unified Tag Team Champions Carlito & Primo Colon vs. 2008 "King of the Ring" William Regal & Matt Hardy (non-title match)

Regal and Hardy have teamed together a few times now since Hardy's come over to Raw, I can't say I'm upset by this at all. Primo Colon and William Regal start off, Primo tries for a wristlock, Regal throws him down, whips him into a corner, Primo uses the momentum to cheapshot Hardy with a forearm to the face, but Regal follows-up with a beat down of feet, followed by a flurry of knees to the face. Hardy tags in, Regal hems up Primo, but Hardy pulls him away from Regal, whips Primo off the ropes, reverse elbow, cover and a two count. Regal wasn't too happy with the lack of teamwork there.

Hardy puts Primo in the corner, delivers a few elbows, whip into his own corner, tags in Hardy, they double-team Primo with a elbow and forearm combination, but Hardy is now upset because he wanted a double-team reverse elbow. Michael Cole says he's never seen them team together before? REALLY? The their working together the last few weeks on TV has been nothing? Hm. Regal has Primo in a head vice, Primo punches his way out, Regal stiff him with southpaw fist, cover, two count. Regal puts Primo in the corner, delivers some boots, tags in Hardy who chokes Primo with his boot. Hardy tags in Regal, puts Primo in a front facelock as Regal clubs the back. Primo tries to punch his way out again, but Regal nails the Exploder Suplex.

Regal goes for a pin, but Hardy slaps Regal on the back to tag himself in, Hardy covers, two count. Hardy delivers a few leg drops, bounces off the ropes for a giant leaping legdrop, Primo rolls out of the way, hot tags made on both side, Carlito slingshots in with a dropkick on Regal, followed by a clothesline, body slam, giant legdrop, whip off the ropes, Regal reverses, Carlito hits the springboard reverse elbow, covers, Hardy breaks it up. Primo runs in and Hardy thumbs him in the eye. Regal tries to throw Carlito into the corner so Hardy can hit him with the cast, but Carlito ducks and Hardy ends up hitting Regal in the face! Carlito finishes up with the Back Stabber for the win.

WINNERS: Carlito & Primo Colon. After the match Regal complains to Hardy about hitting him with the cast, Hardy tries to apologize but then threatens to hit Regal with the cast instead. We then go to a quick promo for MVP vs. Kingston for the US Championship later tonight, and then a commercial.

Out in the parking lot, Ric Flair is standing around, Batista comes up to him, Flair tells him to not say anything. "Don't look at me like that, you should be saying 'Thank you, Ric!' because I'm going to beat Randy Orton's brains out before Extreme Rules!" Flair goes on to say that he has to do this, he misses doing this. "You don't realize every night I go to bed, every morning I wake up wanting to be Ric Flair!" Batista says, "But you're the MAN!" to which Flair responds, "If you tell me I'm the man one more time I'm going to throw up!" Flair promises Batista that he will destroy Orton tonight, and that he needs Batista not to be his hero or his running mat, but a friend who believes in him. "Ric, you're my friend and my mentor, I love you, and you will always have my support!" They hug and shake hands.

Back in Vickie Guerrero's office, Matt Hardy and William Regal are in the office wanting another shot at the WWE Unified Tag Team Championship. Guerrero asks them why she should ever give them another shot. They tell Guerrero that they have a plan which involves her facing Santino Marella tonight as a warm-up match for her Miss WrestleMania match against "Santina" this Sunday. Hardy whispers to her the game plan, and Guerrero finds it so funny that she starts snorting out her laughs.

Backstage John Cena is walking to the ring for his match, walks past Chavo, stops to look him over, then walks on. Guerrero is insulted.

The Big Show & Mike "the Miz" Mizanin vs. John Cena & "the Latin Warrior" Chavo Guerrero

Mike "the Miz" Mizanin is introduced first, but he halts all the ceremony as soon as he comes out. "Whoa, whoa, whoa! This is a golden age in the WWE because the Miz is 6-0 against the corporate, brown-nosing sell-out John Cena! Cena has captured the heart of 6-to-9 year-old kids, but he'll never get his self respect back. These kids love Cena like they love the Jonas Brothers and SpongeBob Squarepants! So congratulations, Cena, you made it! You're in the same category as Hannah Montana! Well, the Miz is in a category all by himself.

"Now everybody look to the person on your left... and now look at the person on your right. Now look at the man in the center of the ring standing before you, because this is what a real winner looks like! Tonight I'm going 7-0 against Cena because I AM THE MIZ AND I AM AWESOME!"  The fans boo as we go to commercial. Awesome promo, indeed! After the break, Big Show, Chavo and Cena are introduced.

Guerrero is suggesting that Cena open the match, Mizanin says he wants Cena, but Big Show threatens Mizanin and tells him, "Stay on the apron, and stay out of my way... GET ON THE APRON NOW! Don't push me!" Mizanin timidly steps out. Big Show tries with the big right-hand punch on Cena, but Cena ducks it and delivers several of his own right hands. Cena bounces off the ropes, Big Show catches him and delivers a huge side slam. Big Show punches Cena so hard in his guts that Cena flies off the mat! Big Show with a few clubs, followed by a body slam. Mizanin reaches out for a tag, but Big Show ignores him, instead headbutts Cena. Big Show takes his time setting up for a Camel Clutch, but Cena fakes him out, slides out from under his legs, and tries for the STF! Big Show kicks Cena out of the ring.

Big Show goes to step out of the ring, referee cuts him off, Mizanin uses the opportunity to attack Cena on the mat. Big Show lunges at Mizanin, shouting "I told you not to touch him!" Mizanin replies, "We're a tag team!" to which Big Show replies, "There is no tag team!"

Cena crawls back on the apron, Big Show whips him back in, whips him into the corner, charges, Cena sidesteps it, tries to slam Big Show, but Big Show just falls on him, covers, two count. Big Show slams Cena, goes to bounce off the ropes for a leg drop, Mizanin tags himself in. Big Show stops, stares down Mizanin, finishes his leg drop, then lunges after Mizanin. Mizanin leaps off the apron, runs around the ring, slides back in and covers Cena for a two count. Mizanin says he's going to prove himself to the Big Show, slams Cena into the corner, delivers the clothesline, pulls Cena out and covers him, hooks the leg, two count.

Fans start cheering for Cena as Mizanin pulls him up of the mat, Cena delivers lefts and rights, bounces off the ropes for a pair of shoulderblocks, hits the side slam, then the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Cena sets up for the Attitude Adjustment and delivers it, but Big Show blind tags himself in! Big Show steps into the ring and chokeslams Cena, but the referee says he didn't see the the tag and makes Big Show step out of the ring. Big Show encourages Mizanin to tag him. Mizanin reaches out and then pulls his hand back and points to himself, saying "I AM THE MIZ..." and Big Show knocks his ass out before he can finish!

Cena staggers to the ropes, Chavo Guerrero tags himself in, covers Mizanin for the win.

WINNERS: John Cena & Chavo Guerrero. WOW, what a bizarre ending! Guerrero runs over and slaps Cena on the back, wanting to celebrate the win. Apparently Cena didn't appreciate Guerrero's help at all because he delivers the Attitude Adjustment to Guerrero. Big Show steps in the ring, goes for the giant fist to the face, Cena ducks it, tries to fly off the top turnbuckle with a dropkick, but Big Show punches him right in the face to knock him out mid-air! Big Show then finishes an unconscious Cena off with the Camel Clutch. Off to commercial.

Backstage Todd Grisham interviews United States Champion Montel Vontaveous Porter and Kofi Kingston. Grisham starts to interview Kingston, but MVP takes it over by congratulating Kingston on earning his title shot, Kingston congratulates MVP back by being a strong champion since he's come to Raw. Grisham asks both men who will leave the champion, both men say they will win it, then shoot some little digs at each other before they stare each other down, smiles on each other's faces.

WWE United States Championship: champion Montel Vontaveous Porter vs. Kofi Kingston

Kingston is introduced first, we replay last week's Raw where Kingston finished off both William Regal and Matt Hardy with the "Trouble in Paradise" to become the #1 Contender to MVP's title. Porter is introduced next, the title is displayed and this match is ON!

Collar-and-elbow lock-up in the middle of the ring, they struggle, then break with Porter shoving Kingston back. Kingston tries for a double-leg takedown, Porter scoots out of the way. Another lock-up, Porter with a side lock into an armbar into a wristlock, Kingston tries to flip and roll out of it but Porter rolls with him to block it. Kingston tries to flip backwards and roll, Porter again rolls with him to maintain the hold. Kingston uses a stepover kick to break it, Porter backs off to avoid the follow-up kick.

We lock up again, Kingston with a side headlock, Porter with a side waistlock, Kingston with a takeover into a side headlock on the mat.  Porter counters with a headscissor, Kingston leaps out of it and re-applies the side headlock, Porter whips him off the ropes, ducks down, Kingston with a sunset flip into a back body slide, cover, two count as Porter escapes, Kingston hits him again with another pin attempt, Porter backs off into the corner and referee breaks the action as we go to commercial!

And, let me just say this... WHAT THE FUCK THE FANS WENT DEAD! Goddamn southern redneck "rasslin'" fans always piss me off, they will cheer for uncreative brawling but they show no respect for great mat wrestling.

During the break we see Kingston try for the twisting cross-body block off the turnbuckles, which Porter daftly ducked. We return to live action with Porter having Kingston in a reverse waistlock, Kingston gets to his feet, Porter slams him to the mat. Kingston gets to his feet again, elbows to the face, whips Porter off the ropes, Porter with the float-over but Kingston with the leapfrog over Porter, whips Porter into the corner, tries to leap up on Porter for some action in the corner, Porter catches him and tries for the powerbomb, Kingston converts it into a headscissor takeover, tries for a pin, two ocunt, Porter stiff Kingston big time, followed up by the BALLIN~! elbow drop, cover, two count.

Porter whips Kingston into the corner, charge, Kingston steps through the ropes and catches Porter with a Pendulum Kick. Kingston goes to the top turnbuckle, Porter recovers, cuts him off with punches, steps up to the top rope and snaps off the Superplex! Kingston is DEAD but Porter is holding his head as well, takes a moment to recover, hooks the leg for a pin, Kingston BARELY kicks out. Porter stands Kingston up, delivers a punch to the face, tries for a second, Kingston swings around for a cruicifix into a pin, both men go for several pins and reversals, then take each other down with clohteslines.

Referee reaches 8 on the count as both men start getting to their feet, they trade forearm shtos, Porter with a kick to the midsection, whips Kingston into the ropes, Kingston tries to rebound off the ropes and flips himself right into a German Suplex from Porter, cover, two count. Porter picks up Kingston, Kingston converts it into a pin attempt of his own, two count. Kingston tries to pick up Porter, Porter tries for the Playmaker, Kingston ducks it and tries for the Trouble in Paradise, Porter ducks it, but Kingston flips himself up onto Porter's shoulders, pulls him over into a Oklahoma Roll for a pin, Porter blocks it by holding the legs for his own pin attempt, Kingston then flips him over, holds the legs, 1... 2... 3!

WINNER and NEW UNITED STATES CHAMPION, KOFI KINGSTON! Porter steps out of the ring and takes the title himself, holds it up for the fans and presents it to Kingston! Kingston shakes Porter's hand and then steps out of the ring to allow Kingston to celebrate. CLASSY!

Backstage Ted DiBiase is in the back asking Randy Orton why he's doing this, and reminds him that anything can happen at this point and Orton is setting himself up for failure. "You have everything to lose and nothing to gain! What happens if you get hurt tonight and lose to Batista on Sunday?" Orton says that he is capable of anything and plans to handle business. Ted DiBiase reminds him, "That's what Cody said" and walks off.

WWE General Manager & "Miss WrestleMania" Vickie Guerrero vs. Santino Marella

Vickie Guerrero is introduced first, she comes out in her street clothes, carrying two buckets full of slop. This ain't gonna be good. We take a commercial.  Our WWE Rewind, sponsored by Golden Corral, is Mickie James & Santino Marella defeating Beth Phoenix & Vickie Guerrero, which allowed Marella to pick the "Hog Pen Match" against Guerrero this Sunday on the PPV. As Marella is being introduced, we then show video of hogs inside a pen to display where the match will actually be happening.

Just spotted a "Bring Back Kennedy" sign on the front row. Nice! (no, not really)

Bell rings, and Marella goes over to the corner and picks up a bucket. "What do we got here, Vickie Guerrero? This smells very interesting, what you gonna do with this? Marella starts to throw it on Guerrero, but Matt Hardy and William Regal run down to the ring, Marella spins around and slings the bucket EVERYWHERE, slopping all three. Regal and Hardy wipe the muck off their faces, then beat up Marella. Regal with the Exploder Suplex on Marella, then hems up Marella as Hardy finishes him with a forearm shot to the head, using the right hand that has the cast on it. Guerrero tells them to stretch Marella out in the middle of the ring, then tells them to step out of the ring, as Guerrero comes over, laughing, kicking Marella a few times.  Guerrero then grabs the other slop bucket, comes over to Marella and dumps the slop right on his crotch, then on his face.  Off to commercial!

We come back from break with one HELL of a promo for Jeff Hardy vs. Edge for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in a Ladder Match. Unfortunately this might be the only real reason to buy this PPV. I'm not even sure then, just wait for it to come out on DVD.

Back on the air we have Michael Cole and Jerry "the King" Lawler to run down the Extreme Rules PPV card:

So, six nights away and we only have four matches on the card? Wow, that's pretty short-sighted. I'm assuming that there is going to be an ECW match on the card that will be announced tomorrow night, maybe SmackDown on Friday night will throw in a Women's Championship match. One can hope. UGH this is going to suck.

"Unsanctioned Street Fight" - WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. "the Nature Boy" Ric Flair (non-title match)

We come back from break and we see Orton stalking around the parking lot, jumping at every little noise. Flair ambushes Orton from behind a vehicle and slams him into a steel garage door. Flair rips off Orton's t-shirt, kicks him in the head, stands him up against the door and chops him. Orton fights back with a few clubs to the back and a kick to the midsection, Flair no-sells it and chops Orton some more, then throws him into a steel guardrail before kicking him in the guts and stepping on his head.

Flair picks up Orton, but Orton knees Flair in the midsection then throws him into some equipment boxes. Orton stands Flair up, Flair punches Orton in the midsection and throws him onto a rolling equipment box, then rolls him into a wall. Orton falls off, holding his head. Flair picks up Orton, chops him in the chest, Orton either has ketchup smeared on his face from the buffet table they just tipped over, or he's bleeding. Orton staggers off into a dark backstage area, Flair follows, and we barely see them fighting in the dark -- except for the WWE photographer snapping away photos!

They've fought each other through the back and into the arena, near the entrance ramp. Orton kicks Flair in te head several times, then grinds his boot in Flair's face before stomping on it. Flair pops up to his feet and punches Orton, Orton fights back and throws Flair onto the entrance ramp. Orton Stomp for Flair, ending with Flair's head being smashed between Orton's heel and the steel ramp. Orton mounts Flair and punches him several times in the head. Orton strips out of his ripped t-shirt, picks up Flair and kicks him in the ribs, then tries to throw him off the stage. Flair halts his movement and hits a reverse mule kick right in Orton's crotch. Flair follow up with a few kicks to the ribs, picks up Orton and chops him down to the ramp. Orton rolls down the ramp to the arena floor.

Flair with a stomp on Orton's head, fans encouraging Flair to throw Orton into their section of the barrier. Flair steps over Orton and fishhooks his mouth, stands Orton up and another chop on the chest. you can see Orton bleeding from his head, and the blood on Flair's shirt. Flair throws Orton face-first into the stel cage at ringside, lays him up on the cage and chops him, followed up with punches, then head-first into the steel ring steps. Flair again fishhooks Orton by the mouth, pulls him straight up, chops him over the ringside barrier! Flair pulls Orton back inside, takes the top off the announcer's table. Orton tries to fight back, Flair cuts him off with a chop, thorws Orton into the cage, then strips everything off the announcer's table.

Michael Cole stupidly asks, "Flair?! What is this?" Uh, DUH! WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK?? Jerry Lawler stupidly follows up, "I don't know what Flair's up to..." ugh. QUIT PLAYING STUPID! DON'T INSULT ME ANY MORE THAN YOU ALREADY HAVE!

Flair lays out Orton the table, a few punches, stands up on the table and stomps right on Orton's nuts! Then stomps on Orton's kneecaps, picks up a leg, and goes for the Figure Four Leglock on the announcer's table! Fans pop bigtime! Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase, Jr. finally run down to the ring and jump on Flair, break it up and throw Flair into the cage, beat him up some more, take him around the corner, whip him into the cage, then the barrier, then throw him into the ring.

Fans now loudly chanting "BA-TIS-TA! BA-TIS-TA!". DiBiase and Rhodes get Flair in the ring, set up for a double-team suplex, then take turns kicking Flair in the head as Orton shouts, "Get on him! Get on him!" from ringside. Orton climbs into the ring, pulls his stable mates aside, tells them to get out of the ring and lock the door to the steel cage. Orton then takes his time kicking Flair in the head several times, then goes to choke him.

Dave Batista runs down to ringside and chase off Rhodes and DiBiase into the crowd, but realizes that the cage door is locked and he can't get in. Batista tries to rip the door off, then reaches through the cage to try to grab Orton. Batista returns to trying to rip the chain and lock off the door. Batista starts to climb up the cage as Orton sets up and delivers the RKO to Flair... Batista falls to the floor, agonizing over what's happened. "Ric! Ric!" he shouts from the side of the cage, kicking over the steel ring steps out of frustration. He looks up into Orton's eyes and says, "I'm going to break you in half! I'm going to break you in half! YOU'RE MINE! You've got to come out, Orton! You've got to come out! Randy, you've got to come out!"

Orton sets up for the punt, Batista screams, "Don't do it!" as Orton punts Flair right int he head, then leans over the ropes and stares Batista back in the eyes. Batista shouts, "I'm going to tear you apart! I'm going to tear you apart! C'mon!" Orton stares back over at the fallen and beaten Flair, then stares back into Batista's face and shakes his head as Batista continues to scream at him.

That's the end of the show for the night, not a bad ending but not hot enough to make this PPV worth it on Sunday. WWE's had a poor build-up for this, then again with only three weeks, what else can they do? They better deliver some hot matches on Sunday!

I'm out!
