(Stevie J will be covering FX fights, Killa Kev will be covering the PPV.)

8:05 PM ET. Tonight's main event is Georges St-Pierre vs. Carlos Condit to unify the welterweight title! First up though we have prelims on FX.

* Antonio Carvalho vs. Rodrigo Damm (Featherweight Bout)

33 to 32, 5'9" to 5'7", 145 each, 70" to 71" reach. Damm is 10-5 and fighting out of Brazil, while Carvalho is 14-5 and fighting out of Canada. Dan Miragliotta is our referee. Here we go!

Carvalho is in the black trunks and Damm the white. Anderson Silva is in the latter's corner tonight. Damm connects with a nice right hand at 45 seconds but Carvalho walks through it. Damm lands a nice inside leg kick and Carvalho just misses with a left hook. 3:10. Carvalho is starting to turn it up with the leg kicks to Damm's lead left leg, and the outer knee and thigh are turning red. 1:45. Carvalho is building up a lead on strikes in this round. He even manages to catch a kick with one hand and land one at the same time. Damm gets one good jab to the face with 10 seconds left but Carvalho wins this round 10-9.

Anderson Silva is coaching Damm to get a takedown in R2 but with 1 minute gone he's had no such luck so far. Damm tries to get on top when Carvalho slips but after a wild few seconds of roll on the ground he gets back up to his feet. 2:30. Damm is getting a few jabs through here and there, including a left at 1:50, and Carvalho's nose is red and appears to be bleeding a bit. In fact there's some blood on his right shoulder. 1 minute. My friend Chris just called this fight "The Brazilian Forrest Griffin vs. My Name Is Earl Eh?" A closer round but I'd still go 10-9 Carvalho especially given the big right hand he lands at the end of R2.

R3 is underway at 8:25. Rogan: "I'm really surprised Damm hasn't made more of an effort to get this one to the ground." Carvalho loses his mouthpiece at just before 2 minutes and gets a time out to wash it and put it back in. Damm uses that to turn it up with his striking after the restart. Goldberg: "Damm really pushing the pace here in the third." 1:40. Rogan: "If you told me this fight would have one ground exchange in 3 rounds I would have told you that you were crazy." Damm with a switch kick, Carvalho with a leg kick. In some ways Carvalho reminds me of Keith Jardine with these leg kicks. Both Damm and Carvalho let their hands go for the last 20 seconds but I think it's too little too late for Damm. I've got Carvalho winning at least 29-28.

29-28 DAMM, 29-28 CARVALHO, 29-28 FOR THE WINNER BY SPLIT DECISION: ANTONIO CARVALHO. No post-fight interview. Commercial and GSP video package.

* John 'The Bull' Makdessi vs. Sam 'Hands of Stone' Stout (Lightweight Bout)

28 to 27, 5'9" to 5'8", 154 to 155 and 70" to 68" from Stout to Makdessi. Makdessi is 9-2 and fights out of Montreal in the black trunks. Stout is 19-7-1 from London (Canada) in the white trunks. Our referee in charge is Marc-Andre Cote. Here we go!

Not much happening in the first minute of the round. Makdessi hits a nice counter punch at 3:45 and follows with a stiff jab seconds later. Stout throws a few leg kicks here and there. 2:15 to go. Stout nearly gets creamed Rich Franklin style on one of them. He teases a takedown as we pass 2 minutes left. Stout did enough with the jab to pull to a 10-9 lead on my card by the end of the first but I could easily see it judged the other way.

R2 is underway at 8:51 ET. Makdessi works leg kicks to start and throws a nice head kick to boot. 3:30. Stout has a single leg for a second but Makdessi pops right back up. Stout with a roundhouse headkick at 2:50. Makdessi is ahead on total strikes 50-32. Stout's face is starting. Makdessi pops a nice left jab at 40 seconds. Stout is more and more like a zombie as this wears on - he keeps coming. Stout loses on another single leg attempt at 0:11. Makdessi with a nice counter left before the horn. Strong possibility this is 19-all going into the third.

90 seconds into R3 this is anybody's fight for the taking. Makdessi's jab may win him this fight. He pops Stout with a really good one at 2:30 that snaps his head back. Seconds earlier he landed one and ducked a wild overhand counter by Stout, Matrix style. Stout misses BADLY on a takedown attempt at 1:45. The ref calls time for a second and we resume with under 30 left. Stout misses wildly on a takedown again at 0:17. Stout tries like hell to close the distance in the remainder but can't. Makdessi 29-28 on my card.

30-27, 29-28 AND 30-27 FOR JOHN MAKDESSI.

* Chad 'Gravedigger' Griggs vs. Cyrille 'The Snake' Diabate (Light Heavyweight Bout)

39-34, 6'6" to 6'1", 206 to 205 and 81" to 73" from Diabate to Griggs. Phillippe Chartier is our referee. Here we go! Diabate knocks Griggs down with a shot as he's coming forward 20 seconds in. Body lock takedown at 4:07 by Diabate. 3:38 to go in R1 and Griggs' face is already a bloody mess. He takes knees to the face at 3:20. Griggs gets out and momentarily has a head and arm choke but Diabate takes him down at 2:57 to get out of it and then delivers more knes and pulls Griggs down for the SUBMISSION TAPOUT AND DIABATE WINS VIA REAR NAKED CHOKE AT 2:24 OF R1. Rogan congratulates him on his first submission in UFC in the post-fight interview.

* Ivan Menjivar vs. Azamat Gashimov (Bantamweight Bout)

Facebook bonus fight time! Menjivar has him down early in the fight looking for an armbar but nearly eats a big upkick when he stands back a bit. 2 minutes gone and Rogan is talking about Menjivar's submission being really difficult without a ghi, then he goes for a "Ezekiel choke" and Rogan marks out for it. Menjivar out of nowhere SINKS IN THE ARMBAR FOR A QUICK TAPOUT BY GASHIMOV AT 2:44. Replay goes to black as Rogan tries to narrate shifting his hips, putting the belly down, and hyper-extending his elbow. Phillipe Chartier was our referee for this bout as announced by Buffer while the screen is still black, then we go to another commercial. The

* Alessio 'Legionarrius' Sakara vs. Patrick 'The Predator' Cote (Welterweight Bout)

Mike Goldberg apologies for the technical difficulties on FX after we come back then throws us to a video package for the next fight, after which we go right back to commercial.

32 to 31, 5'11" to 6'0", 185 to 186 and 75" to 72" from Cote to Sakara. Sakara is 19-9, 1 NC, and fights out of Miami, Florida by way of Rome, Italy in the red trunks. Cote is 18-8 and fighting out of Montreal, Quebec, Canada in white. Our referee in charge is Dan Miragliotta.

Here we go! 9:37 ET and the fight is underway. COTE HAS HIM HURT 53 SECONDS INTO THE FIGHT AND COTE SWARMS HIM WITH SHOTS AND UPPERCUTS. SAKARA TURNS IT AROUND AND STARTS THROWING ELBOWS TO THE TEMPLE AND THEN HAMMERFISTS BUT THEY ARE TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD. Did Miragliotta stop this fight due to illegal strikes to the back of the head, or did he feel Sakara got a TKO clean? We have no clarification as it goes to commercial, but Rogan has left that door wide open.

9:43 PM ET. The crowd in Montreal is booing as we await a clarification. They cheer every time Cote is shown on the video screen, and boo every time Sakara is shown. Miragliotta finally brings them both to the center at 9:44. Buffer says THIS CONTEST IS STOPPED AT 1:26 FOR THE WINNER BY DQ: PATRICK 'THE PREDATOR' COTE. Cote tells Rogan he'll be happy to fight Sakara again and wishes he could have had more of a war for all the fans in Montreal. Sakara says he didn't mean to do it and it was an accident. Commercial. Kev will be taking over at 10 ET for the PPV so stay tuned!

So, on with the show, this is it! "Bonsoir, Montreal!" shouts Bruce Buffer. Here we go!

Mark "the Machine" Hominick (20-11-0, 145 lbs.) vs. Pablo "the Scarecrow" Garza (11-3-0, 145 lbs.)

Hominick is on a three-fight slide, losses to Jose Aldo at UFC 129 for the Lightweight title, then a KO by Chan Sung Jung, and by split decision to Eddie Yagan. This fight is in the Featherweight Division. The referee in charge is Marc-Andre Cote.

Round 1: Both men come out swinging and kicking early, trading lots of leg kicks here. Punches aren't really landing but both men are going to have a lot of toe jam on them before this round is out. Hominick seems to have taken the middle center of the cage after the first minute, Garza content to moving back and forth from center to the wall. Hominick comes in and lands a flurry of strikes, Garza responds by connecting with a knee to the head, tries for a second that Hominick just escapes. Hominick continues to press forward with strikes, and Garza comfortably responding with more kicks to the body and legs. 2:19 left, Hominick blasts Garza with a punch in the face that staggers him for a moment. Hominick tries for a kick, Garza tries to grab the leg, they spin to the fence, Hominick is able to spin him around and take him down, but Hominick doesn't pay close attention and Garza slaps on an armbar. Hominick is able to stand up, pull out of it, and then dives in-between Garza's full guard to start blasting him with punches, 90 seconds left. Garza blocks most of the punches, Hominick stands up at 1:09. Both men trading strikes, 49 seconds left, Hominick throws a liver shot, Garza collapses in pain, Hominick goes down for some ground-n-pound, but Garza blasts him in the eye with a right and he immediately starts bleeding! They go at it, trading blow-fo-blow, Garza gets Hominick on the cage, throws knees, punches up the face, looks for a double-leg gtakedown but can't get it, finishes the round strong putting Hominick back on the cage!  Hominick's left eye is cut on the brow and below the eye. This is going to swell up REALLY bad.

Round 2: Garza explodes out of the corner with a spinning heel kick to the high body, doesn't go anywhere but he's onf ire now! Hominick trying to get in as many body shots as he can, Garza defends, throws his own strikes. 4:20 left, Garza drops down, shoots, takes Hominick down, they roll a bit and Hominick closes his guard on the mat, legs locked aroun Garza.  3:49 left, Garza sits up and starts slinging away, Hominick grabs the back of the head to close the guard again. Garza pounding the kidneys and ribs on both sides, gets some space and throws hammerfists. Hominick trying to throw up his legs to spin, Garza puts him right back in place, and starts scooting Hominick towards the fence, 3:00 left. Hominick reaching out for the fence, has to be careful not to grab it here. Garza now slipping in elbows to the face, and when he can't do that is cupping his hand over Hominick's mouth. Garza is throwing punches, and the referee warns them both to start working. WTF? Really? Just shut up and ref already, ref. Garza sits up and tees off now, 2:00 left. Hominick trying to fight back with elbows and light punches, trying to defelect as many of these blows as possible. 90 seconds left, Hominick tries for an omoplata, but Garza stacks him up, and now Hominick is trying to slip out for an escape, Garza comes back down on him again, 1:00 left. Garza grinding away with peppering shots and elbows, Hominick's eye is bleeding badly. Garza cupping his hand over Hominick's face again, back to hammerfists and peppering shots, 30 seconds to go. Garza tries to sit up, Hominick pulls him back down and Garza starts wailing away with elbows, left and right, slicing across the face unil the horn. Now Hominick has a cut under his right eye as well, really swollen, possibly some blood out of his nose as well. Hominick's corner is telling him "it's 1-to-1 now". Really? Looks like a pair of 10-9 rounds to me, maybe a 10-8 the last one!

Round 3:  Garza opens up with a pair of kicks to the head, an inside leg kick, then settles down as both men trade punches. 4:20 Hominick backs up Garza to the cage, lands a pair of punches to the head, Garza blocks the rest, and Hominick backs off. Garza rushes, drops and executes a double-leg takedown, Hominick trying to close guard, Garza wailing away again. Hominick throwing up  his legs, a few kicks, Garza deflects them and then backs to business. Graphics on the bottom of the screen shows that Garza is out-striking Hominick 141-62 so far in the fight. 2:45 left, Garza stands up, deals with the legs, goes back in to full guard to grind this off. Hominick trying to put his feet on Garza's hips to get a Buttterfly Guard, but it isn't helping him. Garza stands up, Hominick kicks the legs, Garza back down in the guard again. For some reason Hominick keeps slapping the back of Garza's head, I'm not sure what's up with this. 90 seconds left, Hominick with more head slapping, Garza with more hammerfists. Garza tries to posture up, Hominick is able to kick himself free, tries to escape, Garza hunts him down with another takedown! Hominick tries to roll and slip in an omoplata, but Garza grounds him and we're back to the same 'ol, same 'ol. 15 seconds left, Hominick gets his legs up, looks like he's going for an arm triangle, Garza stands up, drops him on his head, back down into the guard into the horn. Wouldn't be surprised if Garza got a unanimous decision here, at the very least 29-28.

OFFICIAL DECISION:  Pablo Garza d. Mark Hominick by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 30-26, 29-27). WOW! Scores all over the place, and I don't disagree with any of them! Two judges gave Hominick an 8-point round there.

Rafael dos Anjos (17-6-0, 155 lbs.) vs. Mark Boeck (11-4-0, 155 lbs.)

This match gets bumped up to the main card after the Ring/Phillipou match got scrapped. Dos Anjos is on a two-fight win streak, with wins over Anthony Njokuani and Kamal Shalarous this year. This fight is in the Lightweight Division. Referee in charge is Yves Lavigne.

Round 1: Boeck has a four-inch reach advantage, and is using it to hold the center of the ring. He presses dos Anjos up against the cage, who clinches the head, spins things around, they trade knees an break back up to the middle of the ring, 4:30 left. Boeck throwing straight rights to back up dos Anjos, who responds with low leg kicks. Dos Anjos throws a right leg, Boeck catches it, drives him to the cage and wraps his arms around the body. Dos Anjos spreads out his legs to block a double-leg takedown, Boeck nails him in the thighs a few times, working on the takedown for quite a long time here, dos Anjos is grounding him out, throws a knee into the face, holding the clinch. Eventually Boeck gives it up and backs off, 3:00 left. Dos Anjos throws a right, Boeck counters with a right. Dos Anjos is choosing to run circles around Boeck and try to catch him off-guard with a punch, and it seems to be working as he lands several of them. Boeck throws a leg kick, dos Anjos throws one in counter and connects with a left uppercut. Boeck throws a high kick and slips, dos Anjos gracefully lets him get back up. 2:00 left, Boeck shoots for a single-leg takedown, back up dos Anjos to the fence, he takes a nee to stuff him, tries for an armbar, lets him go and they go back to stand-up. dos Anjos charges with a knee for the head, just misses. Both men now pawing at each other with punches. 1:00 left. dos Anjos throws a kick, Boeck blocks it and then advances to put dos Anjos on the cage, tries for a single-leg takedown, dos Anjos fires off punches into the ribs. Boeck trying to throw knees into the legs, dos Anjos responds with punches into the head. Still grinding away on the fence, Boeck eventually breaks, dos Anjos with a kick to the head, puts Boeck on the cage, throws punches and knees into the body, backs out. Boeck with a spinning heel kick off the cage as the round closes out. Lots of solid action, this goes to dos Anjos in my opinion.

Round 2: We get 20 seconds into the round when Boeck throws a low leg kick, dos Anjos tries to avoid it and Boeck ends up blasting him with a kick in the crotch. Boeck gets a gentle warning for the ref as dos Anjos walks it off, after a minute we're back to action. We trade some strikes, Boeck tries to rush for a takedown, dos Anjos stuffs him, and reverses the takedown. Dos Anjos is able to work towards a Kimora Lock, and at one point as Boeck upside-down and his back against hte cage! Eventually Boeck spins out, but hes' really tired now, and some blood from a big cut under his left eye, 2:30 left. we go back to stand-up, dos Anjos throwing more kicks, not slowing down. Boeck staggers forward for a takedown, dos Anjos side-steps it, spins around, executes a single-leg takedown of his own, puts Boeck on the cage, has both legs wrapped up, and is looking to take his back. 90 seconds left, dos Anjos pounding away, Boeck is turtled up, dos Anjos can't take his back because Boeck is wedged against the cage. Boeck tries to roll out, but doesn't have enough energy to explode, and dos Anjos keeps him on the mat, hammerfists all over the body and just tiring him down. 30 seconds left, Boeck tries to stand up for an escape, dos Anjos throws him against the cage, then back down to the mat. dos Anjos has a leg hooked in from behind, but Boeck is able to stand up, and dos Anjos lets him go. Ten seconds left, they trade leg kicks and that's it for the round.

Round 3:  Action starts out slow, dos Anjos looks fresh while Boeck is looking really tired. 45 seconds in, Boeck tries to explode for a takedown and dos Anjos simply side-steps him, his 9th takedown stuffed in a row. dos Anjos pussyfoots around with him on the cage, throws him down to the mat, takes his back. Boeck stands up, dos Anjos back on him, Boeck tries to lock on a Kimora from the standing position, dos Anjos simply spins right out. Give Boeck some credit here, 2:30 left int eh fight. They dance around the cage more, dos Anjos backs up Boeck to the cage, throws a knee to the head, backs off, throws a few body shots, 2:00 left. Boeck throws a few solid shots, backs up dos Anjos to the cage, dos Anjos slips out of the way, puts Boeck on the cage now, closes the distance with a clinch and throws some knees. Boeck reverses position on the cage and working for another takedown. dos Anjos pounds him in the ribs with punches and a few knees. he has to give it up, stands up and grinds away on dos Anjos against the cage, 1:00 left. Referee warns them to work, and then 5 seconds later separates them. 45 seconds left, dos Anjos connects on a flying knees, throws some combinations, Boeck fighting back. Dos Anjos slips on the mat, Boeck not able to take advantage of it. Boeck tries to take him down again, dos Anjos side-steps it and then hits Boeck with a spinning heel kick. Ten seconds left, both men open up with strikes, dos Anjos with a left, a right, a head kick and that ends the round.

OFFICIAL DECISION: Rafael dos Anjos d. Mark Boeck by Unanimous Decision (30-27 x3).  Joe Rogan says that Boeck hasn't been beaten this badly since Frankie Edgar did it at UFC 73.

Francis "Limitless" Carmont (19-7-0, 185 lbs.) vs. "Filthy" Tom Lawlor (8-4-0, 1 NC, 185 lbs.)

Francis Carmont is on a tear, riding an 8-fight win streak. This fight is in the Middleweight Division. Philippe Chartier is the referee.

Round 1: Lawlor opens up with strikes, backs up Carmont to the cage, and there you can see the size difference between these two. Carmont looks like a GIANT compared to Lawlor. but the smaller Lawlor is stuffing Carmont against the cage, peppering him with punches and using his head to grind on the body with. Carmont is struggling to control Lawlor's left wrist, leaving Lawlor's right hand open to throw shots. Carmon tries to get a knee up between them but he can't maintain his balance easily, 3:30 left. Carmont spins things around, and Lawlor reverses him just as quickly. Carmont has an underhook on the right arm, tries for a sweep, can't get it, referee breaks them up and restarts them in the middle of the cage, 3:00 left. Carmont blocks a couple of leg kicks, Lawlor throws jabs, but Carmont sticks a long arm out there to halt him. Lawlor goes for a takedown attempt, puts Carmont against the cage, Carmont has the left arm locked, trying for a Kimora, and the referee tells them to start working. AGAIN? GEEZ, who do these refs think they are, Stephen Speilburg? Ridiculous. Lawler eventually gets out of that, puts Carmont back on the cage for another takedown attempt, Carmont threatens the Kimora, Lawlor backs off, 90 seconds left. Carmont throws out the left arm to gauge his distance, then throws a body kick. Lawlor tries t come forward, and it literally looks like Carmont is just holding him there with his extended right arm while Lawlor tries to swing away, almost comical! Carmont drops down to try to shot for a takedown, Lawlor slaps on a arm-in Guillotine Choke, falls back on his guard and is leaning back hard! 20 seconds left, Carmont trying to pull his head out, bleeding from his mouth, 10 seconds, Carmont slowly pulls out and punishes Lawlor with an elbow in the mouth just as the horn sounds.  Tough round, this probably goes to Carmont 10-9.

Round 2: Camont opens up with a low leg kick, Lawlor responds with punches. Carmont looks like he's measuring for a big right, but doesn't execute on several attempts. Lawlor sneaks in for a few punches, Carmont throws the right, misses, Lawlor comes underneath with lefts and rights, 4:00 left. Lawlor looks to try for a takedown, Carmont sets up to defend it, Lawlor puts him on the fence and IMMEDIATELY the ref says, "C'mon, guys, you gotta work!" GIVE THEM A FUCKING CHANCE YA DOUCHECANOE! They grind against each other, jockeying for position, Lawlor breaks and we go back to the center, 3:15 left. Lawlor trying to come forward with strikes, Carmont puts up the left hand and stops him, holding him back. Carmont peppers him with right leg kicks to the body. Lawlor throws strikes, makes Carmont step back and opens up a shot at a takedown, puts Carmont against the cage but Carmont stuffs him, 2:30 left. Lawlor stays on him, through, grinding his body against Carmont. Carmont tries to swing away, Lawlor ducks under it and finally executes a double-leg takedown, 1:55 left. Carmon tries to tie up the arms, Lawlor scoots him to the cage and AGAIN this goddamn referee shouts, "C'mon gus, gotta work!" UGH. Fire this guy, Dana. Carmont works his way back up, Lawlor trying for a single-leg takedown again, Carmont threatening the Kimora, but Lawlor spins Carmont around and takes him down again, 55 seconds left. Carmont brings up his knees, trying for a Triangle, Lawlor blocks it, spins around and passes guard an again slaps on an arm-in Guillotine Choke, 30 seconds left! Lawlor squeezing tighter, loses his grip, Carmont again slips out and punches Lawlor in the face as the horn sounds. Interesting that this round ends the same as the last, but this time I think Lawlor got the better of the round.

Round 3:  Carmont tries to open up with a right punch, but can't seem to land it, so he resorts to a few kicks. Carmont charges with a flying knee, Lawlor side-steps it, slings Carmont into the cage and goes for a single-leg takedown again, Carmont trying to stuff it. They're fighting for control and, once again, referee warns them to work. I dunno what fight this ref is watching, but these two men are working their asses off! Referee breaks them up at 3:24, back to stand-up int he middle of the ring. Carmont with a kick to the face, blocked. he peels off a right, followed by an inside leg kick. Carmont throws a right, Lawlor ducks under it, throws a kick and a right. Carmont with a looping right, Lawlor ducks under it, pushes Carmont onto the cage, knees to the thigh, Carmont trying to controlt he wrist, throws a knee, then tries for the Kimora again, softening up the arm with elbows and punches. Lawlor with a knee to the thigh, 2:00 left. Both en fighting for position, Carmont pops a knee a few times, then tries to escape, Lawlor tries to snag the leg but Carmont gets away, 90 seconds left. Carmont pops Lawlor's jaw with a left, nthing big. Carmont snaps off a ick tothe face, mostly blocked. Ref randomly shouts out, "Watch your fingers in the Octagon!" 1:00 left. Carmont snaps off several low leg kicks, Lawlor sneaks in a left to the body, and a low leg kick of his own, 40 seconds. Lawlor tries to drop down for a punch, Carmont throws an uppercut to stop him. 20 seconds left, Lawlor puts Carmont on the cage, stomps on the feet, REFEREE AGAIN WARNS THEM TO WORK!! UGH. 10 seconds, Carmont tries to escape the cage, Lawlor snags the leg to stop him, puts him back on the cage and the horn sounds. I think Lawlor wins this by split decision.

OFFICIAL DECISION:  Francis Carmont d. Tom Lawlor by Split Decision (29-28 Lawlor, 29-28 Carmont x2).  I don't disagree with the decision, what I DO disagree with is the fans booing this fight. OK, I know the prelim fights were exciting, but this was a GREAT technical fight where both men intelligently cancelled each other out. And, Monsieur Chartier? GTFOOHWTBS!! Pardon my French.

Martin "the Hitman" Kampmann (20-5-0, 170 lbs.) vs. Johny "Bigg Rigg" Hendricks (13-1-0, 170 lbs.)

This fight is in the Welterweight Division, and the winner will likely be the #1 contender for the title. Since losing to Diego Sanchez in the main event at UFC Live 3 in March 2011, Kampmann has torn through his competition, a decision win over Rick "the Horror" Story, a tough Guillotine Choke submission win over Thiago Alvez in the main event of UFC on FX 2, and and Round 2 TKO via knee strike on jake Ellenberger at The Ultimate Fighter 15 Finale back in July. Hendricks is on his own streak, since losing to Rick Story at The Ultimate Fighter 12 Finale in December 2010, he's come back with a TKO win over T.J. Waldberger at UFC Fight Night 24, split decision over Mike Pearce at UFC 133, another KO over Jon Fitch at UFC 141, and a split decision over Josh Koscheck at UFC on Fox 3 in May. Dan Miraglotta is the referee.

Round 1: Hendricks opens up early with the fast power shot, backing up Kampmann to the cage, but he weathers it. They trade a few light punches, then BAAMM!!! Hendricks steps forward, throws a right, and then a straight left that hits Kampmann so hard he falls back and slides all the way across the ring! KNOCKOUT OF THE NIGHT RIGHT HERE!!

OFFICIAL DECISION:  Johny Hendricks d. Martin Kampmann @ 0:46 of Round 1 by Knockout (Punches).  Hendricks pleads with Dana White to name him #1 contender. And, it's his wife's birthday today. What a present!

UFC WELTERWEIGHT RE-UNIFICATION MATCH:
champion Georges "Rush" St-Pierre (22-2-0, 170 lbs.) vs. interim champion "the Natural Born Killer" Carlos Condit (28-5-0, 170 lbs.)

At UFC 129 on April 30, 2011 it was announced that GSP's next opponnt would be Nick Diaz. However, after Diaz no-showed a series of interviews leading up to UFC 137, Dana White pulled him out of the picture, and announced that Carlos Condit would take his place. On October 18th, 11 days before the fight, GSP announced that he had a knee injury and would be out for a pieriod of time. Condit elected to wait for his title fight until GSP healed. Dana White decided to try to take revenge on Diaz by making him fight the one guy he didn't want to, his best friend B.J. Penn.  Diaz won the fight, and Dana decided to reverse course again and put him back in the title fight with GSP, stating "He's the most disrespectful human being I've ever met and I'm going to put the worst beating you've ever seen on him in the UFC."  What a way to screw over Condit, right?  Well, as luck would have it, On December 7th GSP revealed that his injury was actually a torn ACL, and he'd be on the shelf for several more months. On that, UFC decided that Condit and Diaz would face each other for an interim Welterweight Champinoship at UFC 143 on February 4th, 2012. Condit bested Diaz in a 5-round unanimous decision.  Since then, both of our champions have been biding their time.

St-Pierre is 9-2 in title fights, and this is his 8th straight title defense on this run, the second time he's held the belt, losing it to Matt "the Terror" Serra at UFC 69 in 2007, winning it back against Jon Fitch at UFC 87 in 2009. Condit has won five straight since being defeated by Martin Kampmann by split decision at UFC Fight Night 18 in 2009, and is the former and final WEC Welterweight Champion.  This will be a true battle of the ages.

Round 1:  GSP backs up Condit to the cage, jabbing but not connecting. Condit is trying to circle around and get some space, throws a leg kick, then a high body kick. GSP connects on a right and aleft, then a low leg kick, 1:00 gone. A front thrust kick by GSP, another low leg kick that gets checked, Condit tries to follow up with a jab. Condit a few low leg kicks, then a right jab, GSP jabs back, shoots for a single-leg takedown, Condit ont he cage, and GSP pulls him down! Condit trying for an omoplata, but doesn't have it in right, and settles into a closed guard, 3:00 left. Condit tries for an armbar, GSP rolls out of it, then comes back into the guard, Both men fighting for control, GSP passing into half guard, grinding his chin into Condit's arm, then sits up and tees off as Condit tries to take full guard back, 2:00 left. Both men throwing arms and hands, nothing really landing. GSP tries to posture up and tee off, Condit returns with punches to the side of the head, wraps his legs around GSPs body. Condit throws his legs up high, GSP struggling to reach in for punches, comes back in and lands a solid right, Condit pulls him back into the guard though, 1:00 left. Condit is rolled over on his side, trying for an armbar, GSP rolls him back over and is now peppering him with punches, 30 seconds left. Condit gets his feet on GSP's legs, then locks the legs back over, then looking for the armbar again, GSP pulls out, we stand back up, 10 seconds left, horn sounds before there's any more action. Condit has a cut over his right temple, but doesn't look too bad. This was probably GSP's round. They clean up the cut and Joe Rogan thinks it may be much worse where it's at. We replay and see where GSP throws an elbow and immediately cuts him open.

Round 2: GSP takes control of the middle of the ring again, Condit opens up with a pair of strikes and a kick, nothing lands. Condit resets and again punch-punch-kick, all blocked. GSP with a kick to the face, a right, a spinning head kick, all blocked by Conditt. Conditt with a front face kick that misses, 4:00 left. GSP reaches in and lands a right to the body, Condit responds with a few low leg kick fakes. GSP throws another head kick that connects, 3:30 left. GSP backing up Condit to the fence again, Condit backs up GSP with a jab, then connects on a body shot. Conit comes in for a flying knee, GSP steps back and then connects with a counter right to the body.  Condit fakes a leg kick, throws a right, blocked. GSP with a left jab, Condit counters with a spinning back fist and a high head kick, both whiffing. GSP with a punch cobo, Condit counters with a leg kick that gets caught, GSP drives Condit to the ground and lands in half guard, 2:00 left. Condit is trying to roll to get the armbar, GSP puts him back on the mat. Conit is bleeding profusely now, leaving a pool of blood on the canvas, but its' not running into his eyes. GSp and Condit are wailing away on each other, although GSP has nearly double the number of significant strikes landed. One minute to go, GSP connecting on head shots, Condit countering with rabbit punches, then elbows to the head. GSP is trying to posture up, but he's slipping on that pool of blood. GSP stands up, Condit is able to escape up, throws a flying kick, both men collide with strikes, Condit throws three more kicks and then the horn sounds!  GSP now sporting a small cut under his left eye.

Round 3:  Condit opens up with more kicks, GSP stalks him and backs him up to the corner. Condit faking punches, throws a spinning leg kick that misses, but he lands another head kick that takes GSP off his feet, Condit swarms him, on top nearly full mount, throwing as many punches as he can get laid in before GSP recovers! GSP scrambling to get off his back, Condit keeping him down! 4:00 left, GSP goes to full guard, Condit throwing huge elbows, he's bleeding across his face. Condit stands up, lets GSp up and Condit rocks him with a knee! GSP is wobbily, but he approaches Condit and tries to put him back on the cage, 3:30 left. Condit throwing fists to the side of the head, Condit rolling for the armbar again, GSP grabs his head to close the guard. Condit getting the better of the striking from the bottom, now has a body triangle on GSP, 2:00 left. GSP pushes Condit up against the cage, he postures up and tees off, Condit brings him back down, then gets up to his feet against  hte cage. GSP trying for a single leg takedown, Condit counters with a Kimora. GSp breaks it free, takes Condit down, 1:05 left. GSP with hammerfists to the head, punches to the body. Conditt with the body triangle again, GSP is trying to stop Condit from hitting him with fists, Condit tries for the trianle again, GSP flattens out to stop it, then steps over to his right into half guard. GSP may be on top but it's Condit punching from the bottom that's getting the better of the right, the horn sounds, and I think this round solidly goes to Condit.

Round 4:  GSp backs up Condit towards the cage again, Condit switches his stance and catches him with a kick. GSP lands a kick of his own, shoots for a takedown against the cage and gets it, 4:20 left. GSP has both legs wraped up, turns the corner to get Condit away from the cage and gets side control, Condit slips a knee between them and re-takes half guard. GSP now gets his arm around Conit's head and back to get control, Condit scrambling to find some room to work, peppering GSP's head with hammershots, GSP throws an occasional punch but Condit, in my opinion, is throwing more shots that connect, 3:00 left. More stats, St-Pierre has spent nearly 10 minutes on top in the fight. Condit throws up a leg, looking for Mission Control, GSP turns away from it. Condit goes for a kneebar from the bottom as GSP tries to stack up, then transitions into a triangle attempt. GSP pulls out, 1:0 left, goes back into half guard. Condit appears to be bleeding heavy from his cut on the right temple again. Condit wiggles over tot he fence, gets back to his feet. Condit tries for the Kimora again, can't hold it, GSP inside his full guard, 30 seconds left. Condit throwing elbows from his back, GSP trying to scoot him up against the cage again. Condit with feet on the hips, GSP stands up, tries to strike, Condit throws his legs up and GSP back down. GSP on his feet, Condit on his feet, GSP grabs the waist and rolls just as the horn sounds. Very tough round, close for GSP I think.  Condit's corne tells him don't let GSP put him against the cage, knock him out.

Round 5:  GSP with a left hook and a low leg kick, Condit with a left hook and a leg kick. Both men nwo dancing, looking to set up a big move. condit throws a flurry of strikes, a big spinning bakc kick that just nicks GSP as he scrambles back to escape it. GSP shoots forward for a single leg takedown, connects, Condit on his feet, skips out of it, sides kick him away, 3:35 left. GSp immediately reponds with a right hand that connects, then a low leg kick. Condit respodns with a right, a left and a right, backs up GSP with strike combos, kick to the inside of the left knee, 3:00 left. GSP trying to pass guard, Condit rolls with him and shuts it down, 15 seconds left. condit with legs around the waist, has a Kimora attempt on the left arm, gives it up, 10 seconds, board claps, both men haul away with elbows until the horn!

OFFICIAL DECISION: Georges St-Pierre d. Carlos Condit by Unanimous Decision (49-46, 50-45, 50-45). GSP is asked how he feels after being off for the last 18 months, "Peope talk about ring rust. I definitely now know what it is. Carlos Condit gave me my toughest fight. He his a great martial artists, he lost tonight, but this is only going to make him a greater martial artist." Joe Rogan asks him about the future, if he wants to defend the title again, or if he wants to face Anderson Silva in a Middleweight bout. GSP says he was focused on Condit 100%, he wants to take a vacation and think about his future and make the right decision.  On the kick that took him to the ground, GSP admitted that Condit's striking the round before hurt his eyes, his vision was blurry, and he never even saw the kick coming. GSP addresses the Montreal crowd in French (to which I'm not able to keep up with to translate).

Rogan asks if GSP's words consoles him, "No, not really," he says. Condit complemented GSP on holding him down, not letting him scramble. Condit says he feels good leaving but knows he has to go back to the drawing board. "Maybe I'll get him next time."
