Ian Clark's Latest AEW Dynamite on TNT Live Recap

Match One: Eddie Kingston vs. PAC

In a picture-in-picture promo during his entrance, Eddie Kingston vows to send PAC home.

Pac opens with a dropkick immediately upon entering the ring, suicide dive, tosses Kingston into the barricade, both men back into the ring, Pac with a bicycle kick in the corner, another, foot choke, running big boot in the corner, running knee, snapmare, goes up top, missile dropkick, bicycle knee to the head, running knee to the head, forearm in the corner, Eddie with an elbow, boot, second rope knee to the back of the head, stomp, Pac to the floor, Allie scratches his head, Eddie with a T-Bone suplex on the floor, rolls Pac into the ring, neckbreaker for one, wrenches the neck, chop, chop in the corner, another, elbow to the back of the head, trading forearms, Eddie with a chop, Pac with forearms to the face, mixed strikes, whip, German, roundhouse kicks, Eddie with a shove, chop, Pele, side suplex for two, chop in the corner, misses an avalanche, but hits an elbow, boot, goes up top, Pac with an enziguri, superplex, Eddie tries to block with punches but does not succeed, Pac finishes the move and covers for two, running boot to the head, stomp, another, running European uppercut, goes for another, Eddie with a clothesline for two, DDT, blocked, Pac with a running dropkick, goes up top, Black Arrow for three.

Winner: PAC

PAC locks in the Brutalizer immediately after the bell, Butcher and Blade run in, have a stare-down with PAC and the Lucha Bros, Lance Archer comes out and chases Eddie Kingston and his team out, Archer and PAC stare each other down, Archer yells that they better get on the same page, then walks off.

Match Two: Chuck Taylor vs. Miro (Chuck must become Miro's Young Boy if he loses)

Chuck opens with punches, clothesline to the floor, punches Miro off the apron to the floor again, tosses him into the stage, then does it again, breaks the count, suicide senton, punches on the floor, Miro shoves him into the ring post, charges, Chuck dodges and Miro hits hard, Chuck with a double foot stomp from the apron, Kip punches Orange, Chuck kicks Kip, knees Miro, Miro with a Samoan Drop, avalanche, punches in the corner, belly to belly suplex, avalanche, running spin kick, Machka Kick, Game Over, Chuck taps.

Winner: Miro

Backstage, Dasha asks Matt Hardy and Private Party about how they formalized their manager/client relationship. Matt says it's a great decision, Private Party start out saying the same thing, but then they devolve into arguing over the terms.

Inner Circle hit the ring.

Jericho: "It's the first time the entire Inner Circle has been in the ring together in 2021, and it's going to be a huge year for us! 2020 was great, but this is going to be even better, so we'll tell you our resolutions for the next 365 days."

Hager: "Championships, yeah!"

MJF: "Great answer, by the way, Jacob. I would say strengthening the bonds that we have, and also fat people, they gotta go."

Ortiz: "Perfecting my grandmother's recipes."

Jericho: "I think this will be the year that myself and MJF win the tag team titles!"

Santana: "Whoa, whoa. You hand-picked us to be in the Inner Circle. You hand-picked us to be the tag team in the Inner Circle."

Sammy: "I think I see what's going on. (turns to Jericho) You're a little tag team slut! No, no, you team with him, we were Le Sex Gods, I saw you dabbing it up with Snoop Dogg last week, you going to team with him next?"

MJF: "Let's get the train back on the tracks. So much hostility."

Sammy: "Shut up, Max!"

Jericho: "Come on. We're all great athletes, sexy hooligans! We're great athletes, any one of us could team with any other one of us, and we'd win the tag team titles. Last week, MJF and Wardlow blew off some steam. I say we do it again. Next week, I three-way to determine the number one tag team of The Inner Circle. I think it's going to be Jericho and MJF."

Santana: "I think it's going to be Santana and Ortiz."

Sammy: "I think it's going to be Sammy and Hager."

Hager: "Championships, yeah!"

Jericho: "Sammy Hager?"

Sammy: "Yeah."

Jericho: "That's funny."

Sammy: "Why's it funny?"

Jericho: "Look, never mind, let's put it all in."

They do their collective flip-off cheer.

Backstage, Dark Order say they're going to be better people to honour the memory of Brodie Lee, and ask Hangman Page when he's going to tell them whether he's in or out. He says after they team next week.

They show a video package for Allin vs. Cage.

Dasha interviews The Elite. They're hyped. They talk about doing the Elite three-man entrance, but Callis perhaps somewhat disingenuously suggests they let the Bucks have their own entrance.

Kenny makes his entrance first.

Callis: "Cut the music! Sorry, Justin, you have the night off, it's too special to leave to an amateur. The band is back together! Courtesy of Don Callis, courtesy of Kenny Omega, this six-man! So let me introduce to you your world tag team champions, and Kenny Omega's two best friends in the world, ladies and gentlemen... The Good Brothers!"

The Good Brothers comes out while The Bucks look disappointed with Tony Khan.

Callis: "Business is business, but best friends are forever, right?"

Match Three: World Champion Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers vs. Varsity Blondes and Danny Limelight

The ex-BC team attack and beat their opponents down before the bell, back in the ring the opponent squad start to rally, clear the ex-BCs from the ring, Kenny and Pillman are legal, Pillman with mixed strikes, Garrison in, top rope double axe handle to the arm, Pillman in, mixed strikes, Limelight in, kick, suplex, blocked, Kenny with punches, Limelight with a spin kick, whip, reversed, Gallows with a kick to the back, Kenny with a Kotaro Crusher, Anderson in, mounted punches, punches Garrison, whip to the corner, Limelight crumples, Anderson wrenches his face, toss to the corner, commercial.

Back on air, Kenny is beating down Limelight, sets him up top, Limelight with a kick from the top, ducks an avalanche, hits a springboard DDT, Kenny with a knee, German, Limelight lands on his feet, enziguri, Pillman in, Anderson in, Pillman cleans house, whip Anderson into Griff for a top rope Hart Attack for two, misses an avalanche, Ex-BCs triple team for two as their opponents break the count, Anderson with a Claymore to Griff for two, Limelight in, Anderson beats him down, Danny with a boot, goes off the top, Anderson catches him for a spinebuster, Magic Killer, Kenny clears the opposing corner as Anderson covers for three.

Winners: The Good Brothers and Kenny Omega

Moxley comes out. He swings for Moxley, Good Brothers pull him off, he beats them down too, but eventually the numbers swing in Omega's favour. Lucha Bros come out and even the numbers, Moxley and Omega beat each other down in the middle of the ring, the locker room empties to pull them apart, Moxley hits a member of the ring crew with a Paradigm Shift, suicide dive, rolls Omega into the ring, Bucks come out and try to talk Moxley down, he gets in their faces, so they challenge him to fight, Lucha Bros with superkicks to the Bucks, resume beating down the Good Brothers, even more of the locker room opens up to pull everyone apart while Omega and Callis escape.

Rebel introduces The Waiting Room. Britt does an Oprah fake-out, then introduces Cody Rhodes. She takes a few shots at him, but then asks about his upcoming year, including Go Big Show and his baby. Before he can answer, she introduces her surprise guest, Jade Cargill. Cargill says no one cares about Brandi getting pregnant, but says Cody did her a favour by taking her out of action. Cargill says she and Shaq are waiting to find out Jade's first opponent. She pie-faces him, and Red Velvet comes out. They slap each other before it turns into a full-scale brawl. The roster and security pull them apart. It takes a few tries. Once they're apart, Britt plays the footage of her beating up Thunder Rosa. Rosa interrupts the feed and say that Britt only has a talk show because she likes to get in everyone's business, but now they have to face each other. She says she talked to Tony Khan, and they'll be facing off at Beach Break.

Match Four: Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy and Marko Stunt) vs. FTR

Jurassic Express has a new entrance theme. It's a well-known song, I just can't place it.

Stunt and Cash start off, jockeying for position, JB in, staredown, Stunt back in, Dax in, lockup, Dax presses him quickly to the corner, break, Stunt with a slap, Dax beats him down, vertical suplex, Cash in, double team sky high throw, chop in the corner, punch to JB, European uppercut in the corner, whip, Stunt goes for a moonsault, dropkick, JB in, whip, Manhattan Drop into an enziguri, whip FTR into each other, reversed, Jurassic Express roll through, monkey flips, toss FTR around, commercial.

Back on air, Dax is slapping Stunt around, Cash in, spinebuster for two, punch, Dax in, elbow drop for two, cover again for two, cover again for one, stomps, Cash in, Gory Special, Stunt eventually reverses into a rollup, Dax in, powerbomb, blocked, JB in, forearms, elbow, dropkick to Cash, elbow to Dax, another, European uppercut in the corner, clothesline, one for Cash, back stabber for Dax for two, sets him up top, Dax with punches, JB with a super hurricanrana for two as Cash breaks the count, suplex, blocked, JB with a suplex, Dax rolls him up for two, JB with a superkick, Marko in, wheelbarrow throws him on Dax for two, Sliced Bread, blocked, Dax pulls off his own elbow pad and hits an elbow, Stunt with punches, Sliced Bread for two, drops to the floor, punches, Tully throws him into the ring post, JB chases Tully, Cash clotheslines JB and tosses him into the barricade, tags in, Big Rig (fka Goodnight Express fka Shatter Machine) to Stunt for three.

Winners: FTR

Match Five: NWA Women's Championship: Serena Deeb (c) vs. Tay Conti

Lockup, Serena hooks the arm, reversed, Conti with an abdominal stretch, Deeb with a pair of arm drags, rollup for two, Conti with a shove, spin kick, blocked, takes Deeb down, heel hook, Deeb reverses into a chinlock, snapmare, break, Conti with a judo throw, test of strength, Deeb with an arm drag, keylock, Conti kips up, triangle choke, break, Deeb with a snapmare, running kick for two, double underhook, reversed into a rollup for two, itself reversed into a rollup for two, Conti with a pump kick, commercial.

Back on air, Deeb with a fireman's carry, reversed into a cutter for two, Conti with a leg variant full nelson, reversed into a stretch muffler, rope break, Conti with a rollup for two, Deeb with a fireman's carry rib breaker for two, sets her up top backward, Conti with elbows, Deeb with a top rope Gory special, ref forces a break, Conti with a boot, leaps, misses, lands on her feet, bicycle kick, TayKO, reversed into a Detox for three.

Winner and STILL NWA Women's Champion: Serena Deeb

Main Event: TNT Championship: Darby Allin (c) vs. Brian Cage

Darby opens with a running dropkick to the knee, another, Cage to the floor, Darby with a baseball slide, throws Cage into the barricade repeatedly, suicide dive, reversed into a suplex, Cage rolls Allin in, Allin with a chop, Cage with a clothesline, gorilla press slam from the middle of the ring through the timekeeper's table, follows to the floor, Allin is busted open, Cage picks him up for a delayed vertical, walks up the steps and suplexes him into the ring, picks him up by the seat of his pants and throws him down, running elbow in the corner, punch, German, toss to the corner, toss to the opposite corner, mounted punches, goes to drag him into the middle of the ring, Allin just collapses, Cage with crossface punches, commercial.

Back on air, Allin hits a boot from the corner, leaps from the top, Cage catches him with an F5 for one, powerbomb into another into a third, Allin flips Cage off, Cage powerbombs him onto the stage, follows, drags his head onto the bottom rope, superplexes him back in the ring for one, rolls out of the ring, grabs the steps, sets them up near the ring, fireman's carry on the apron, blocked, Darby with a dropkick, bites Cage's fingers, Cage lands on the steel steps, Allin hits a Coffin Drop from the top, beats the count at 7, Cage breaks the count at 9, Allin pulls off his wrist tape, starts slapping Cage, springboard Coffin Drop, reversed into a bear hug, Allin breaks by biting, Stundog Millionaire, uses his own belt to tie Cage's legs, punches, Cage with a flapjack, Allin with a Destroyer for two, Cage gets his legs loose, Allin with a running dropkick to the corner, covers for two, uses the kickout to jump up to the top rope, hits a double foot stomp for two, goes up top again, Team Taz distracts, the lights go out, Sting appears and hits the other members of Team Taz with his bat, Cage with a fireman's carry, reversed into a top rope crucifix cover for three.

Winner and STILL TNT Champion: Darby Allin

Powerhouse Hobbs comes out but Sting holds Team Taz back with his bat. Darby celebrates his narrow victory as Dynamite goes off the air.
