Lio RushI don't think what happened to Lio Rush at the Battle of Los Angeles this weekend should ever happen to ANYBODY. A fan threw their drink Buddy Matthews (which is intself a violation of California Penal Code 243.83 as a form of assault), which caused him to slip on the mat while hitting a curb stomp on Rush, and as you can imagine slipping when you're doing something as dangerous as stomping on someone's head that can have horrifying consequences. As a result Rush was so severely incapacitated he was unable to continue in the tournament. The fan who threw the drink was themselves thrown out, but it's not clear if they will actually be prosecuted. (PWI) Rush commented after reportedly being taken to the hospital: "Just being honest with you guys here. I'm not good. But I will be good. And when I'm back, I'll be dangerous."

Daniel Garcia won this year's PWG BOLA. Here are night two results. (PWI)

* Quarterfinals: Black Taurus def. Aramis
* Quarterfinals: Daniel Garcia def. Alex Shelley
* Quarterfinals: Lio Rush def. Buddy Matthews via DQ
* Quarterfinals: Mike Bailey def. Wheeler Yuta
* Semifinals: Daniel Garcia def. Black Taurus
* Semifinals: Mike Bailey def. Buddy Matthews (subbing for Lio Rush)
* JONAH, Mike Blackwood, Rey Horus & Black Christian def. Lee Moriarty, Jack Cartwheel, JD Drake & Bandido
* Finals: Daniel Garcia def. Mike Bailey

Shane McMahon is booked to be a part of the Elimination Chamber "premium live event" as well as WrestleMania 38. (WO)

Chaotic Wrestling champion Davienne talks about Tommaso Ciampa's influence on her: "He probably doesn't even remember me. I hope he does because he did leave a lasting impact on me. When I first started training, I was probably close to a year, and I had my first match about eight months in. He was recovering from an injury. I was working very close to the New England Pro Wrestling Academy, so I would get to class 45 minutes to an hour early. He would just roll around with me and help me. The boys were like, 'Why does Tommaso like you? He hates girls.' I would reply, 'I don't know because I'm here and he just wants somebody to roll around with?' Then when I was having my first match he went over stuff for me to do. He texted me after and asked if we got to do any of the stuff that we called. I told him, no, and he was just saying, 'Screw her. you're better.' One word of advice he gave me was when I went to Japan. I was 21, and everybody was saying, 'Oh my God, you're in Japan. Oh, it's gonna be amazing.' He pulled me aside and said 'Try to not get too homesick because I know it's gonna be hard.' He was the only one to say that. I was like, man, like he just gets it. He's just like one of the best, and to see where he's at now is just so incredible. He's so talented. He's still one of my favorite wrestlers to watch."

New WWE related videos are available below.

An announcement from New Japan follows. (NJPW)

A short-term series will be held on April 3 (Sun) in Hamamatsu and April 9 (Sat), where both countries will be the final round!

In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the launch of New Japan Pro-Wrestling, "HYPER BATTLE" is back for the first time in 18 years as the second series name of the past, following the "New Year Golden Series" held from January to February!

The schedule for this series and the ticket sales schedule for some tournaments have been decided.

The fan club advance for Act City Hamamatsu on April 3 (Sun) and Korakuen Hall Tournament on April 4 (Mon) will be accepted from February 4 (Fri).

Via social media Riho confirmed she's dealing with an injury: "I'm in Japan now! I have broken my collarbone and am treating it. (It doesn't hurt so much anymore). Take a rest, heal completely, and do your best again!"

Davey Richards and Tre Lamar have been announced for TERMINUS II.

Last week's Impact did 182,000 viewers, up significantly from 126,000 the week before. I'd have to attribute that to interest in Mickie James being in the Royal Rumble if I was to attribute it to anything. The 18-49 demo also rose from 0.03 to 0.05. (SBD)

MLW will return to 2300 (ECW) Arena for the "Kings of Colosseum" on May 23rd.

Bobby Lashley will put his WWE Title on the line inside the Elimination Chamber at the "premium live event" of the same name next month. (WWE)

WWE has yet to file a formal official response to MLW's lawsuit. (PWI)

Tickets for the NWA Crockett Cup go on sale this Friday. It will be held at the Nashville State Fairgrounds Mar. 19th and 20th, the same place the "TNA Asylum" used to be.

4:00 PM ET. The former Mojo Rawley says he's been battling COVID-19 for months and "almost died" as a result.

Kurt Angle says he'll have "an on screen role" for "the next month or so" in WWE.

Roman Reigns talks about his COVID-19 experience: "It wasn't bad in comparison. For me, it was mainly like a pretty good sinus infection and a bronchitis cough. A lot of chest tightness, I still feel that actually, you know, when I'm doing my conditioning, you know because we don't wrestle quite as much and we're doing a lot of six-mans. So for me, you know, I don't have singles matches as much as I used to. I have to continue to like, really continue to push the conditioning on my own. And I've noticed in the last couple of weeks when I really blow myself up on the bike or running or whatever I'm doing, I can feel that tightness and a little bit of wheezing. So it's definitely something serious. Someone who's vaccinated and boosted, it still got to me and I still felt the effects and as they weren't as severe as they can be for some, it did hang around and linger for a while."

Lio Rush has provided a medical update and says he had a "clean" dislocation of his left shoulder on the errant curb stomp by Buddy Matthews (which as noted wasn't his fault since he slipped on a drink a fan threw) and that he'll get a MRI to check for ligament damage or tear in 2-3 weeks. "To all the boys in the back and crew at PWG last night that were super attentive and extremely helpful, that you so much. More frustration and disappointment than anything else at the way last night ended. To all my fans and supporters, thank you for the outpouring of love and support. Saddened by the hate speech, racial slurs, and throwing of objects in the ring by the 'fans' who attended Night 2 of BOLA, but nothing will dimension my love for this sport and stop me from performing for those who appreciate my craft. I will be back. See you soon."
